No one should be surprised that U.S. Department of Education wants to eliminate critical data from the 2019-2020 Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) that school systems are required to report such as:
- Pre-school suspension details (yes, pre-schoolers are suspended!)
- Number of new teachers
- School finance data

This is huge because Gwinnett schools wanted to charge us almost $10,000.00 to get disaggregated school discipline data! This is critical data for communities.
Dignity in Schools Campaign submitted comments regarding the proposed changes. Please submit a comment in support of our response or your own reasons outlining the need for this data at https://bit.ly/CRDCcomment2019.
