The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) wants your input at a public feedback session on the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
ESSA is the replacement for the law commonly known as No Child Left Behind. ESSA requires the state to receive input from all stakeholders to inform its state plan. Each session will include an introduction to ESSA. However, you are encouraged to review the one-page overview of ESSA topics prior to attending If you are not able to attend an in-person meeting, a survey opportunity will soon be announced and posted on GaDOE website. Feedback can also be emailed to essa@doe.k12.ga.us.
It is critical that parents, concerned citizens, educators, and youth are involved in this process! Don’t allow them to continue to put our students on the menu without your voice at the table.
Matt Cardoza may be contacted at mcardoza@doe.k12.ga.us for more information.
