Interfaith Children’s Movement (ICM), an organizational partner of Gwinnett SToPP, is calling upon the interfaith community to join us at the ICM Day at the Capitol 2016. We must stand together and speak with a clear, unified voice for each and every child.
Why we’re fighting:
- School to Prison Pipeline: 14,292 Pre-K through 3rd grade students are suspended out of school
- Juvenile Justice Reform: 35,000 GA children served by DDJ in FY2013
- Child Welfare Reform: 10,000 GA children on average are in DFCS on any given day
- Safe Harbor/Rachel’s Law: November 2016 vote to help sex trafficking victims (SR 7)
- Education Reform: 47 active PBIS school districts out of 181
- Family Care Act: 878,000 GA employees without family care days
We represent a constituency of 2.5 million futures. Register today and begin the work of ensuring the well-being of Georgia’s children in 2016.
