Meet Isaiah T., one of our summer interns. Isaiah is a recent graduate from Grayson High School, and will attend Georgia Tech in the coming Fall. We look forward to Isaiah adding a more youthful perspective to the organization.
I will be majoring in Aerospace Engineering and minoring in Public Policy, an uncanny combination; I know. To give some background, I love math and science, but I also love to write. I like to equate this to my sense of self and sense of others. My passion for math and science derive from an individual drive to be the absolute best and create my own footprint; my passion for writing comes from my compassion to help others and improve the world.
Essentially, my major and minor embodies me, my approach towards life. I refuse to exist one dimensionally, self-absorbed or selfless. I believe in a life where both can exist, where individual growth and peer growth are possible, where an engineer is an activist. I began this process in high school; ranked 6th in my entire high school class, I sang in theatre productions, L.G.P.E. performances, and created a club for students of color within my school, and I will continue to bring this mindset to Gwinnett SToPP and the world beyond.
