If you are passionate about equality and social justice for children and you believe in the power and potential of public school education, join us. We are accepting applications for the 2014-2015 Parent Leadership Institute class and we need you.

We provide training in education advocacy that is unparalleled in the country. We walk you through the confusing language of alphabet soup terminology, prop you up with the renowned Fanning Institute Leadership Program and equip you with positive solutions to replace damaging discipline policies. The year you spend with your cohorts in training is transformative. The development training you receive here translates into all kinds of civic and community leadership.

For those of you who have graduated from the program, let your friends know. Tell that friend who is gifted in working with other parents and civic leaders about the benefits they can receive from joining PLI. If you are active in PTA or local school councils this training is invaluable and we offer it virtually free of charge to those who are willing to make the commitment.

Applications are being accepted through the end of May and interviews begin in June and July. We will kick off the program with a 2-day/1-night retreat at Simpsonwood Retreat & Conference Center. After that we will have 5 day-long training sessions – one each month through January. In Febrauary, you will work with your team members on a project and we will have the graduation ceremony in March. Click here to apply.
